Comments about Melissa & Doug Deluxe Pretend Play Kitchen:

The instructions for the assembly of this product were very clear and easy to follow. But, there is too much assembly. It took my husband and myself 2 hours to put this together. There are WAY too many pieces. Could the doors come with the handles and hinges attached? It seems to me that there should be ways to cut down on assembly time.

Bought this for our granddaughter's 2nd birthday and she absolutely loves it. Bought almost all of the accessory sets and they are great too. We have it in her room at our house. As soon as she walks in the door, she is off to play with it.

    design needs an update

Comments about Melissa & Doug Deluxe Pretend Play Kitchen:

The design is in dire need of an update. Kids are more interested in pretend play with a kitchen when it looks more like the real deal that mom and dad cook in. I suggest going with more wood tones and ditch those cherries. Your design is preventing me from purchasing your product even though i absolutely love you brand and the use of wood throughout them.

Comments about Melissa & Doug Deluxe Pretend Play Kitchen:

My husband and I assembled this in less than 2 hours total, very easy to follow instructions. To echo what another parent wrote, I like this kitchen b/c "it doesn't do anything" - no batteries required - just my child's imagination. Good size kitchen with plenty of storage for toy food and dishes.

This was the EASIEST piece of furniture that I have ever put together! The system of numbering, lettering and dots was by far the best I have ever seen! It took 2 hours to build this but it was super easy, and my daughter LOVES it.

We got this kitchen for our own home to entertain the little girls while they are here. We had it for two years and it has stood the test of time, and still in excellent condition. It gets played with several times a week. We have a lot of Melissa and Doug wooden foods to go with it

Comments about Melissa & Doug Deluxe Pretend Play Kitchen:

The kitchen is fabulous, we just gave it to my daughter for her second birthday, and she went right to work! Its the first toy she goes to in the morning when she wakes up.

However, there were some glitches in the assembly. Two holes were drilled incorrectly. One in the oven, and one in the bottom support. We couldn't return it, since we were putting it together right before we gave it to her, so my husband just worked it out. Leave yourself plenty of time for assembly and problem solving!

Comments about Melissa & Doug Deluxe Pretend Play Kitchen:

This kitchen is wonderful. I have had my eye on it for 3 years after receiving a flimsy plastic kitchen when my daughter was 2 as a gift. Finally I broke down and purchased this kitchen for Christmas for my 5 year old. We have many of the M&D food playsets, which my daughter plays with frequently. My 16 month old son enjoys playing with this also, which it is good the colors are gender neutral. The kitchen has plenty of space to store all the food playsets and keep them out of sight. Also, the instructions for assembly were the BEST instructions for putting together any product I have ever seen. I assembled it myself in under 3 hours. Time consuming, but very simple. I wish I hadn't waited so long to purchase this product. Thank you Melissa and Doug for creating quality toys, as so many fall apart within one time of play. THANK YOU!!

Very solid construction. It is acutually easy to construct, it just took a long time (about 4 hours). Dont try to put this together on Christmas eve as I did. The best construction instructions that I have ever read
