Comments about Melissa & Doug Wooden Letter Alphabet Magnets:

I am working with 2 yr olds. They love these letters. I love when they pick a letter, identify it and start playing with the letter, making letters walk and talk. They also come in 4 colors, so colors can also be reinforced. As my 2 yr old's say ... Yaaayyy!

I have the mickey mouse ABC magnets and my daughter just loves them. They are very colorful and have a cute mickey ears design. I love that the magnet is full length to the magnet. Its very well made and not flimsy. I'm loving how great these magnets are. They are a great size and not small. I'm buying some more so we can spell more words with these magnets. Just a great products.

Comments about Melissa & Doug Wooden Letter Alphabet Magnets:

As I'm teaching my daughter her letters, one per week, I pull out the corresponding letter piece to add to the ones on our refrigerator. This is a great set. It's very durable. I like that the magnetic back is part of the whole letter, so we don't have to worry about a magnet coming off and becoming a choking hazzard for the little ones.
Our set arrived with one letter missing. The customer service rep I spoke with was very helpful, and I received the replacement letter right away.

Comments about Melissa & Doug Wooden Letter Alphabet Magnets:

I love to leave messages on the fridge for my granddaughter even though she cannot read yet. She scrambles the letters to leave a message for me, sometimes by color or shape. I am often gone when she arrives to stay with her grandfather, so I would like to leave more involved messages; like lists of animals or silly sentences or poems. However, I need more vowels! I already have 2 sets of letters, upper & lower case, with 4 of each vowel. Upside down Vs make passable As and the number zero makes an O, but she recognizes these as incorrect. I mix the 2 cases as needed, so a set of mixed vowels would be so helpful! I know, of course, that then I would want more consonants - but you already have those sets.

Comments about Melissa & Doug Wooden Letter Alphabet Magnets:

These letters are great. We are only using the upper case set of letters right now to try to get my daughter to learn her alphabet, but she loves playing with these on the fridge. We starting using these during a period where she was putting things in her mouth. I was a little worried with them being wood how they would weather being chewed, but they stood up surprisingly well. They are easy to attach for small hands, and I love using these to teach her letters instead of all the "talking toys" out there, and there are no batteries to replace!

My daughter is only 2 but loves reading letters. She reads capital letters everywhere. I really like these magnetic letters since they are over-sized since she stills teethes and likes to put things in her mouth, also very colorful and I can sit with her at the frig and help her associate the big case letters to their matching smaller case.

              Discover More Ways to Play
              • SING IT! Have kids place the uppercase letters on a magnetic surface as you slowly sing the alphabet song. Once the letters are lined up, sing the song together as you point to the letters. Repeat the activity using the lowercase letters.

              • OUT OF ORDER Starting with the magnets in alphabetical order, have kids close their eyes while you switch a few of the letters. Have kids figure out what's out of order and fix the alphabet.

              • WORD SCRAMBLE Using uppercase letters, jumble together the letters of a familiar word (box, chair, house) and challenge kids to unscramble the letters to spell the word. When they have done so, then have kids find the matching lowercase letters to spell the same word.

              • PATTERN POWER Create a color pattern with three magnets. Have kids repeat the color pattern with other magnets. Have kids sort the letters into uppercase and lowercase or vowels and consonants. Create a pattern using the groups (for instance: vowel, consonant, consonant . . . or, lowercase, uppercase, lowercase . . .) and have kids continue the pattern with other magnets.
