Comments about Melissa & Doug Wooden Stringing Beads:

Nice, sturdy, and large enough beads for a 6 1/2 year old boy. He took out a string and started making something as soon as he opened the box. Love the alphabet beads.

Comments about Melissa & Doug Wooden Stringing Beads:

My 4 year old granddaughter works happily with the beads. The shapes and colors are appealing. The quantity of letter beads encourages multiple projects.
Because there is not a lid to contain the beads, I provided a plastic storage box that the 4 year old can open and close herself. The lid of that box becomes a "tray" onto which the desired beads can be laid out before stringing them onto a lace.
It'd be nice to have some lower case letters in addition to the upper case letters.
If one could purchase refill beads, especially the letters, I'd buy such a package!

Comments about Melissa & Doug Wooden Stringing Beads:

I love the Melissa and Doug products and have quite a few of them for my 4yr old. My only complaint about any of them (and especially the beading sets or stamp sets) is that there isn't a cover for the box. They come in these great wooden boxes, but there is no way to close them back up for storage.
