Val's Crafty Corner Balancing Butterflies

I can remember making balancing butterflies just like these when I was a kid, and it was so much fun to watch my kids make balancing butterflies of their own! They are almost magical!

To make your own, print out the free template on heavy cardstock paper, and cut it out. Invite your child to decorate the butterflies with crayons, markers, or paint!

Next, flip the butterfly over, and use a bit of tape to attach some pennies to the wings as shown.

Place your finger under the butterfly’s head, and try balancing your beautiful butterfly on the tip of your finger!

They look so realistic, you may want to have your butterfly net nearby — just in case you happen to attract some real butterflies your way!
