Toy Spotlight: Pineapple Soft Stacker Baby Toy

October 05, 2022

Say aloha to the first new toy release from our brand new infant and baby line of toys designed especially to build key early development skills: our Pineapple Soft Stacker infant toy!

The sooner you can introduce toys like the Pineapple Soft Stacker—which features a variety of textures, sights, and sounds to engage kids for open-ended play that helps promote key developmental skills—the better head start they’ll have on picking up those important skills they’ll need when they reach school age.

Why Kids Will Love this Pineapple Soft Stacker

Toys that engage kids and keep them occupied are worth their weight in gold. Toys that do that AND also help kids develop important skills that will be important throughout their lives? An absolute no-brainer for parents and caregivers to consider. Let’s take a closer look at our Pineapple Soft Stacker Infant Toy, and why you should welcome it into your home for your child.

Play Basics: How sweet it is for babies to discover textures and sounds with the Melissa & Doug Pineapple Soft Stacker!

Playful Details: Grasp, squeeze, shake, and stack two soft, fabric-covered rings (one of which crinkles), a durable plastic textured ring, and a soft textured topper with crinkle leaves and silky smooth ribbons. All fit on a rattling, rocking base and post to make a friendly, happy-faced pineapple! The stacker is an engaging way to help infants six months and older develop important sensory, fine motor, and problem-solving skills. Melissa & Doug infant and toddler toys inspire “a-ha!” moments of discovery. Adorable, diverse characters and a variety of fun shapes and textures encourage exploratory, skill-building play.

Age: 6 months+

Pineapple Soft Stacker Invites Kids to Explore!

Who Will Love This: Once babies are mobile, they become naturally curious about the world around them and want to explore all the time. Infant/baby toys such as our Pineapple Stacker will provide hours of open-ended exploratory play, as kids at that age and stage are most stimulated by bright, contrasting colors; fun, engaging shapes; and interesting textures that make different sounds—which is exactly what the Pineapple Soft Stacker does! That all adds up to a delicious play experience for older babies and young toddlers.

Skills at Play: Sensory development, fine motor, problem-solving skills

Gift Tip: Have a real fruit basket centerpiece for the party, and hide the Pineapple Soft Stacker within for an ultimate fake-out! Or bundle it up with other felt food and pretend food play items for a winning gift bundle that’s sure to delight the guest of honor.

Countless Ways to Play: Use the Pineapple’s friendly face to play peek-a-boo with your little one. Older toddlers can try their luck at using the Pineapple Soft Stacker to play a modified version of the classic boardwalk ring toss game. This Soft Stacker could also find a home in your child’s play kitchen as they age up into imaginative pretend play.

Toy Story

I love this Pineapple Stacker because it is unique and has so many engaging layers for baby to explore. The bottom base of the pineapple has a rattle sound to it, and is made of soft material. The next layer is soft and squishy, with a textured edge like corduroy fabric, the middle layer is a hard plastic disc that is thin and wipeable/washable if baby decides to turn it into a teether, and the top has a crinkle sound to it with colorful pineapple leaves.” —Christina, in a recent 5-star Amazon review
